Congratulations to Nancy Floyd who is one of this year's winners of the V&A Parasol Foundation Prize for Women in Photography 2024!
The Prize was established to identify, support and champion woman artists as part of the V&A Parasol Foundation Project and attracted over 1400 submissions this year. The four winners are Aisha Eriki, Silvia Rosi, Mia Weiner and Nancy! The winers will have their work displayed at Peckham 24 later this month.
We were lucky enough to work with Nancy when she won the inaugural ICP / GOST First Photobook Award back in 2019 for her project 'Weathering Time'. Nancy began photographing herself in 1982, with the aim of taking a photo a day. The project, compromised of over 2500 images, is a meditation on the passage of time, loss and the aging female body.
