Now open at The National Western, Denver, Colorado, United States, is Working the West, a new art exhibition that captures the grit, rhythm, and reality of life in the American West.
Featured will be the work of Jim Krantz. A student of Ansel Adams, he blends technical mastery with a romanticised vision of Western identity shaped by his work with iconic brands.
Images from his book Frontier will be included. The book blends cinematic portraits of cowboys and expansive landscapes with experimental works to create a visual representation of the mythical American West. ‘Frontier’ blends cinematic portraits of cowboys and expansive landscapes with experimental works to create a visual representation of the mythical American West.
